![]() As heart disease and diabetes continue to impact the lives of our communities, Strides For Fitness was formed to help individuals and families break the trend of poor health decisions. We are educators who specialize in health and fitness. The calendar was created so that everyone has the ability to get fit. As you look through the alendar, you will notice that the exercises do not require weights or other expensive equipment. It just isn't necessary in starting a fitness program. We are teachers who believe that knowledge is power and we take that to the extreme when we create our highly energized, hands-on classes. No boring lectures here! We offer customized workshops for your office or group in a two hour, four hour or eight hour formats. Depending on your needs, we offer cooking demonstrations, taste tests, individualized fitness plans and fitness assessments. We are also consultants. We are experienced in creating Wellness Centers in the corporate setting and creating fitness plans and layouts for private and corporate gyms. Whether you need a wellness program implemented, data collected, or oversight and planning of a new facility, we can help.
![]() Grant StrongGrant Strong has served in a health and wellness capacity for a large organization where he planned programs for over 4000 employees. He has created innovate programs such as the Holiday Maintainer, Walking Challenge, and taught a Wellness Academy --- a 20 hour foundational program about fitness and nutrition -- all to get people thinking about fitness and nutrition 52 weeks of the year. Additionally, he has worked as a professional trainer, serving the athlete and non-athlete alike.Below are some of the certifications he holds:
Susan Thorntonhas served as an instructor for over 20 years and holds a Masters of Science degree in Human Resource Development from Palm Beach Atlantic College. She uses instruments such as the T.A.I.S. and D.I.S.C. to help people understand their personality under normal and stressful condiditions and how to best customize fitness and nutritional programs to get the best result for each individual. |
